FRIDAY FLOWERS: OUT AND ABOUT

Once upon a time and long ago…. there was the cutest little beach cottage (built in 1920) on the coast of Virginia.
And yes, it still exists. We went there this week to enjoy one lovely night, walk on the beach, eat boiled shrimp, spend time with our friend, and then explore historic towns on the way home.

bee balm galore

echinacea: is this color for real?
Oleanders on the way to the beach

lace cap hydrangea (yes, I played with colors here in PicMonkey!)

best boiled, local shrimp ever!

Off to Edenton, N.C.

Once again, Our State (you will recall the story on Bluebird Hill Farm) magazine did a wonderful story on this beautiful town.

The “Cupola House”, built in 1758.

Albemarle Sound, right at the doorstep…

the day was hot, hot, hot but the breeze right here cooled us off….

Happy Weekend everyone!
