Back in September I told you about this stunning, just plain neat, knife block from Bodum:
This was in my post on the BHV in Paris: yes, I was green with envy and wanted one of these for my new kitchen!
Ok, so, I forgot about it for a few months...until last week when I saw this:
Oh no.... ! I have to have it. I use a cordless electric tea kettle maybe...um...six times a day. We have a white one: great quality, has lasted for at least five years with no problems yadayadayada. But I want this one!
So then, I went on line to see just what else Bodum has.
Big mistake.
So, tell me you don't want some of these too?
Am I right?

Guess what a certain lucky lady got for her birthday? Yep. My new knife block is sitting very happily on my counter.
The knives slide right in, smooth as anything. No holes to aim for, no magnets that don't work. I'm not sure just what the black "threads" are ...some kind of silicone coated plastic? In any case, I'm happy with it !

I saw that Bodum teakettle on-line last month. I'm waiting for mine to break so I have an excuse.
The knife block is totally cool. We have always preferred to have our knives in a drawer but I do love it. I am seriously looking at the mixer though. Do you have one? I was going to check out the reviews. There just might need to be one of these in my future since mine is on its last leg.

Hubby just got me an electric tea kettle when we got back from France, too bad I didn't see these first. My kitchen is the red and how stunning it would look.

You definitely need the kettle to keep your knife block company :-) Which, by the way, is the coolest knife block I've ever seen! I think I need one too, and a mixer :-)
{You're so right about not noticing the not-so-pretty things we live with every day! With the exception of our shower - I used it and hate it every day!}
You need the electric kettle! It will match the knife block perfectly!
And I need to check out some of these items, the green ones match the green accents I have all over my kitchen :-)
These are excellent products. The design and colors are brilliant. I'm considering to have one.
