Spring Flowers

As seen in my favorite market, just last weekend, on a warm, gorgeous day! Interesting how the graphics on these chocolates imitate what was just outside. 

Do you think the color blue is IN this year? Is blue the new green? Seems that all kinds of blues, from cobalt to marine to teal to pale turquoise is being seen all over. 

White House Easter Egg Roll

Here is a wooden egg, given out at the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. This comes from a friend in the Park Service (they are given eggs ahead of the date). It's actually a wonderful deep pink/red.... doesn't translate very well here! But signed on the back by the Obamas. Kind of fun!

Surtex

It is spring and that can only mean one thing:  IT'S TIME FOR SURTEX!

Yes, we will be in Booth 343 at Surtex, May 17-19. For those of you not familiar with this show, follow the link and you can read all about it.

This is a huge event for all of us: the preparation, the new designs, the appointments, the competition (!), the hotel reservations, the old and new friends we see, the booth set up; it's all exhilarating, but exhausting too.

Here are some of our new designs. I'll post a few more here each week to give you an idea of what to expect. 

The economy, yes, the economy doesn't help the situation, right? Well, we want to be in there when things improve, ready to fulfill our customers' needs. And, of course, there IS business being done right now. We ARE doing business, and some good business at that!

Easter

You will have to guess which one is me!

Yes, this was Easter day in Philadelphia, oh so many years ago...The best part was the Easter basket with the huge, home made coconut egg with our names on top. To this day, I love coconut!

And the second photo is another Easter, with a very happy dog eating all the ice cream!
